As we prepare for the 50th Anniversary and the big weekend in September, we invite all of our alumni, students, faculty, staff, and partners to stand up proudly and be recognized as pioneers in building a public university that is nationally known for excellence. There are plenty of ways you can pitch in to make our 50th year our best year to date, whether you’re spreading the word on social media, participating in our brand-new Retriever Stories website, or helping us put our best face forward at community events.
How to Volunteer at the 50th Anniversary Celebration Weekend
Join us as part of the Event Team for this spectacular celebration of UMBC’s 50th Anniversary. On Saturday, September 17, there is a huge festival, many events, and a evening fireworks show that will amaze all. We have many ways that you can join in and help out. Click here to view a list of volunteer opportunities that you may choose from. Sign up (it’s easy to do — just click on the big red “sign-up” button) and join the Event Team.
All Event Team members will receive a 50th branded t-shirt and water bottle and a complimentary ticket to the “Decades Dance Party” that will take place that evening (for those age 21 and older). We’ll also provide you with snacks, fun, and gratitude!
